Spanish can be quite specific.
We have already seen that the you-form is part of the band. habla means “he speaks” but it also means “you speak”.
If you take habla and add an s to the end to get hablas, this also means “you speak”
So, what is the difference between the two forms? Well, the one with the s at the end is a more laid back, more casual way of talking. The one in the band, that one is more formal.
Quiere is the formal way of saying “you want”.
quieres with an s also means “you want” but it is more casual.
Same thing with puede formal and puedes causal. Vive is formal and vives laid back and casual.
